Illumoria Series: Chapter 2

The meaning behind this new series: Illumoria (n.) — a realm where emotion, memory, and spirit become form; a soft, internal light traced into being.

It feels like something between, “Illuminate” – to reveal or bring light to something, and “Memoria” – Latin for memory.

About the artwork:

This piece holds the feeling of pure joy, hence its name, not the fleeting kind that depends on circumstance, but the joy that blooms from within. It’s the joy of being present, of noticing light as it moves across a wall, of breathing in the sweetness of a moment without needing to hold it. In its colors and movement, it carries the freedom of laughter and the weightlessness of a spirit at ease.

Fluorescent pink bursts with the feeling of aliveness, like the first warm day after a long winter. Deep indigo wraps around it, giving that joy a sense of depth and grounding. Swirls create a feeling of movement, while glimpses of bare canvas remind us of our raw, human selves. Tiny stars and sparkles scatter across the surface. Hints of magenta, orange, and white weave through, adding warmth and harmony.

‘Pure Joy’ is a reminder of those rare moments when happiness takes over completely, when you feel lit from within, unafraid to shine. May it spark that same light in you each time you see it.
