A piece of happiness

I made this whole piece by hand. Every curve and bump was shaped with my fingers, so there's something really personal about it. You can feel that human touch.

When you look at it, there's this moment where you just feel lighter. The beautiful thing is that everyone sees something different. Maybe it looks like a flower to you, or a mermaid tail, or maybe it just makes you happy for no reason you can explain.

I wanted to take those quick moments of joy we all have and turn them into something real you could look at whenever you need it.

You'll know what I mean when you see it - there's this little spark that happens when something just makes you feel good. That's what I was going for. A little piece of happiness sitting right there when you need it most.

Sometimes we forget that good feelings can come from the simplest things. This piece is just a reminder of that.

What it's made of: mixed media, drywall mud, plaster, acrylic wall paint, color shift pigment, intercoat, satin finish on a canvas.
