The first sculpture emerged on a morning when the August air felt different; heavy with change, full of possibility. After taking a break for a while, I’d forgotten how meaningful it is to capture the beauty of life. That day, working the plaster between my fingers, I felt something ancient and protective begin to soften.
This piece captures that profound moment when healing begins, the courage to let walls dissolve. The green here is rich, almost underwater, like the color of trust when it’s still forming.
In its forms, you can feel the slow release of held breath, the gradual loosening of shoulders that have carried too much for too long. This sculpture asks nothing of you except to remember that trust in yourself, in the process, in the possibility of wholeness, it doesn’t arrive all at once. It comes like August mornings, one degree warmer, one shade lighter, until suddenly you realize the season has changed.
