Garden of grace
Garden of grace

Three days later, as the morning light shifted across my studio, I began to see grace in a different light. Not as something bestowed from above, but as something that grows from within when we tend to ourselves with the same patience we’d give a garden.
This sculpture bloomed in brighter greens. The color of new leaves, of second chances, of forgiveness finally taking root. The drywall mud moved like soil in my hands, rich with possibility. I watched my fingers shape spaces for grace to live, small hollows where light could gather and transform.
The surface tells the story of cultivation: sometimes smooth, where acceptance flows easily, sometimes textured, where old wounds needed extra tenderness. This piece holds the understanding that grace isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being human and choosing to nurture what wants to grow.
Standing before it, I hope you feel what I felt in its making: that you are worthy of your own grace, that healing is not about erasing your scars but about letting them become part of a larger, more beautiful story.
